Planning for the future can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone.

At Solace Estate Planning, we help families and individuals create customized legal plans that bring clarity, security, and peace of mind.

Whether you’re focused on avoiding probate  (the public court process that can take months or even years, add significant cost, delay access to assets, and make private family matters public), protecting what you’ve built from lawsuits and creditors, planning for long-term care, or preserving your family’s inheritance, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Does This Sound Familiar?

“Where do I even start?”
Estate planning feels overwhelming, and it’s hard to know who to trust.

“Could a lawsuit, medical bill, or unexpected event put everything I’ve built at risk?”
You’ve spent years growing your home, savings, and business, and you want to make sure it’s all protected, no matter what life brings.

“What will happen to my kids if something happens to me?”
You want to be certain they’re cared for and protected, no matter what.

“Will nursing home costs take away everything I’ve saved?”
You’ve worked hard to build what you have, and you’re worried it could disappear.

“How can I keep my family from fighting if I’m gone or unable make decisions for myself?”
You’ve seen how confusion and lack of clear instructions can create conflict, and you want to keep your loved ones united.

At Solace Estate Planning, we meet you where you are with no without any shame and no pressure. We offer clear guidance, practical solutions, and a plan that brings you and your loved ones peace of mind.

When you’re ready, we’re here to help you take the first step.

After returning to Ohio, I needed my previous out-of-state estate plan reviewed and updated. Ben Turshen of Solace reviewed my plan and proposed various options for my will, estate, and power of attorney documents. He recommended strategies for asset protection, and worked with me to ensure that my estate was tailored to my needs. I highly recommend Ben for your estate planning needs.

It's funny how a health crisis can feel like God's little way of kicking us in the butt to get things done! We had put off Estate Planning for months (OK Years), but suddenly it became vitally important. My partner did alot of research. There was one person that he talked to who left a deep impression. That gentleman was Benjamin Turshen. He explained that Estate Planning was like building a house. You need a blueprint to map out your vision of what security means to you You also need a strong foundation. This means WIlls, protection from probate , powers of attorneys ,and Healthcare directives. You also need a roof -- a strong roof for protection from outside forces. I've learned that there are ALOT of factors that could be a threat to your security. This is not a DIY project! You really do need a GOOD builder! I am so grateful that we found Benjamin! I've worked my entire life. I finally have something to leave my daughter. Benjamin made Our vision His mission! The roof on this house is strong. I feel secure and grateful. Thank you, Ben. YOU DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB!

Very pleasant experience. We came here with a fairly complicated situation and Benjamin handled everything with ease. He opened our eyes to what could happen if we weren't legally protected, and he covered every base from probate to long-term care.

I first met Benjamin on the seminar he conducted. I was immediately impressed by his level of expertise and overall presentation. We decided to schedule private consultation to discuss our situation. First of all we wanted to avoid probate and make it as easy as possible for our children and grandchildren. I also liked the idea of preserving our legacy. During initial consultation Benjamin explained our options and advise on the best course of actions. We were very impressed with the professionalism and efficiency. He reviewed our documentation and created a trust documentation. We feel that we made a very good decision!

We were looking for an estate planner to help us with the preparation of a will and trust, and Solace came highly recommended from a friend. We knew very little about what was involved and Ben patiently walked us through each step, explaining expectations and ourcomes. He did a wonderful job of providing scenarios and examples of what may happen, including personal experiences. The entire experience was very friendly and thoughtful, overall a wonderful experience. We highly recommend Solace!

I love the experience. Different from other estate planning that I’ve done with my parents’ lawyers. Benjamin goes over a lot of things that others don’t cover.

Comfortable, accommodating, professional. Took us rookies through everything step by step in creating our Trust. We’re quite pleased with the outcome and secure in our future, big weight off our shoulders having the important paperwork done. …the owner also has really cool glasses.

It's been almost a year since we set up our family trust with Ben. The experience has been rewarding, knowing that our family assets are secure and set up for our beneficiaries to have a smooth transition when that time comes.

How We Help

Estate Planning & Probate Avoidance

Protect What You’ve Built and Who You Love

Estate Planning & Probate Avoidance

Many people assume a will keeps their family out of court, but in Ohio and New York, a will alone actually guarantees probate. That process can bring delays, disputes, added costs, and loss of privacy when your loved ones are already grieving. We help you plan ahead with wills, trusts, and other modern strategies to keep your estate out of probate and ensure your legacy passes smoothly, privately, and on your terms, giving you and your family lasting clarity and peace of mind.

We use advanced Asset Protection strategies, including specialized trusts and risk-management planning, to help shield what you’ve built, reduce exposure to future threats, and preserve your wealth for the people and causes that matter most.
