For Professional Advisors
Partnering to Protect Clients—Together
At Solace Estate Planning, we collaborate with CFP® professionals, investment advisors, insurance professionals, CPAs, and tax advisors to deliver coordinated, client-first plans. The team approach produces more comprehensive, realistic, and effective outcomes—for you and your clients.
How We Work With You
Your client relationship comes first. You lead on financial strategy; we lead on legal design and implementation. From the initial call through funding and maintenance, we keep you in the loop and invite your participation where it adds value—especially to align tax, cash-flow, and beneficiary goals.
Why Advisors Collaborate with Us
Advisors partner with us to retain multigenerational relationships, deepen satisfaction through coordinated planning, and uncover unmanaged (old 401(k)s, scattered IRAs, beneficiary clean-ups) or mistitled assets during funding. Our process is transparent, paced, and easy to follow, with flat-fee proposals presented after the Vision Meeting.
Simple Prompts to Start the Conversation
Advisors tell us these open doors quickly:
- “Do you feel your estate legal affairs are fully in order?”
- “What’s your greatest concern about your estate?”
- “Would you like me to guide you in working with an estate planning firm to ensure your objectives are met?”
For Attorneys
General practice today is broad; estate planning and elder law are deep. We focus exclusively on these areas and stay current on the nuances that move outcomes. We regularly partner with general practitioners and lawyers in other disciplines—offering quick issue-spotting, clear referral pathways, and behind-the-scenes guidance when you prefer to remain front-stage with the client. If a matter is within your wheelhouse, we will say so; if not, we step in with a defined scope and respectful handoffs. We appreciate collaborating counsel and operate with the same deadlines, documentation standards, and professional courtesies you expect.
For Banking Professionals
Bankers hold trusted relationships that often span generations. We help strengthen those ties by coordinating legal planning with deposit, lending, and wealth units—reducing friction between departments and improving client experience. Our workflow clarifies who does what and when, so account titling, collateral, beneficiary forms, and trust certifications move quickly and correctly.
For Certified Public Accountants
We do not prepare returns or offer income-tax compliance services; CPAs are essential to the plan’s success. We identify estate, gift, GST, and income-tax considerations within the legal design, then coordinate with you on basis, elections, funding, and distribution timing. We also brief CPA partners on the unique tax posture of certain irrevocable grantor-type trusts used for asset protection and long-term-care planning, so reporting stays clean and consistent with strategy.
For Insurance, Financial Advisors,
and CFP® Professionals
A successful plan requires assets to be titled and funded to match the legal documents. We encourage clients to consolidate with one primary advisor (or a coordinated team) to avoid conflicting strategies and failed implementation. We communicate proactively, share custodian-ready language, and align beneficiary designations, ownership, and risk management with the legal structure—so protection applies to real, titled assets. If you prefer, we can host a short “strategy huddle” before or after key milestones to keep everyone aligned.
Our Client Journey
(and Where You Are Essential)
We begin with the Initial Call and Vision Meeting to clarify goals, review any existing documents, and present design paths with transparent flat fees—this is a natural point for you to join and help align tax, cash-flow, and beneficiary objectives. In the Design Meeting, we translate those goals into concrete choices—who is in charge and when, how and when beneficiaries receive assets, incapacity planning, creditor/divorce protections, and contingencies—confirming everything coordinates with the financial plan before drafting. At the Signing Meeting, we execute with notary and witnesses and deliver organized originals and secure digital copies. Next comes Funding: we provide titling and beneficiary instructions, letters of instruction, custodian-ready language, and a by-asset Funding Table, and we coordinate with you to complete the follow-through. Finally, ongoing Maintenance keeps the plan current; clients can enroll in our TLC™ program or self-maintain with periodic check-ins—either way, your continued oversight of assets, titles, and designations remains central.
Asset Protection Is a Team Sport
We are asset-protection specialists. Our plans build strong legal safes—but a safe only protects what’s inside. Advisors are essential to help clients accumulate and preserve assets worth protecting, keep beneficiary designations and titles aligned, and monitor risk so the legal structure and the financial strategy work as one.
Maintenance & Ongoing Care
(TLC™ or Self-Maintenance)
Life changes—and plans should, too. Clients can enroll in our TLC™ Estate Plan Maintenance Program for proactive updates, priority access to consults, periodic reviews, funding spot-checks, and disability support, all designed to keep the plan current as laws and circumstances evolve. Clients who prefer self-maintenance can engage us as needed; we recommend a check-in every three to five years or after major life events such as a move, new accounts, business changes, marriage or divorce, births or adoptions, health changes, or a death in the family. In either path, advisors remain central to monitoring assets, titling, and beneficiary alignment.
What You Can Expect from Us
You can expect clear communication with agendas and summaries at key steps; flat-fee transparency; practical deliverables such as execution packages, letters of instruction, and client-ready checklists; and thoughtful coordination on funding, including custodian language and deed or assignment support. Our design is tax-aware and integrates account types, beneficiary designations, SECURE-related timing, and insurance or annuity considerations.
Joint Education & Marketing
We co-host workshops, webinars, and client-appreciation events—from foundational planning to asset protection, business succession, charitable strategies, and special-needs planning—and can provide decks, handouts, co-branded invitations, and Q&A support for your client base.
Compliance & Confidentiality
You lead investment and tax advice; we lead legal design and documents. With client authorization, we share information across the team using secure portals for document exchange and redlines.
